Our Mission
The DUI Victims Center of Kansas (DUI VCK) works to reduce the impact an impaired driving crash has on victims, survivors and their families and increases awareness of the traumatic human consequences of the choice to drive impaired. As a victim advocacy center, we believe in meeting victims, survivors and their families where they are- helping them navigate not only the judicial system, but any challenges they face following the DUI crash.
Drunk driving is a choice. Drugged driving is a choice. Distracted driving is a choice. It is a choice that kills and injures innocent people. With statewide increases in distracted and drugged driving, we are challenged as never before to keep the streets of our communities safe.
When educating MIP (Minors in Possession), MIC (Minors in Consumption), as well as new drivers, it is our goal to help them become responsible, educated drivers, ultimately reducing underage drinking. By challenging the youth to set a healthy lifestyle now, we truly believe we can help change the cultural attitudes and mindsets that excuse impaired driving!
We believe in supporting and empowering victims on the deeply personal journey known as grief- to navigate the new normal, to honor what has been lost, to connect with purpose. Help us be the voices of those who no longer have one. Help us honor the lives that have been greatly altered. We are every victim’s voice.
The DUI Victims Center of Kansas provides services to victims, survivors and their families and increases awareness of the traumatic human consequences of the choice to drive impaired.
